Pinterest Pins, they just keep getting better!
Pinterest just recently announced yet another addition to their already amazing business service. This comes after their success with “buyable pins”, a service that allows business owners to sell their products with a simple click on Pinterest.
More info on that:
Being able to sell your products on Pinterest is cool and all, but what about your store? It can get pretty lonely in there with everyone buying your stuff from their homes. Could it be that the days of “window shopping” or even going shopping might be reaching their end?
Well, probably not. Thanks to this new addition. It is essentially a new feature added onto the already existing “place pins”, a service that lets users know where you are located and how to reach you. The new feature is that it is now automatic and pulls business information from Foursquare.
Foursquare, for those that may not know, is a local search directory. It is a mobile app that lets users find whatever they are looking for wherever they might be. Pinterest now takes that information and puts it on their iOS app, so it might be a good idea to make sure that your Foursquare information is up to date.
By going through the Pinterest app, users can find your business, see the pretty things you sell, call you if they need to, or get turn-by-turn directions to your store. At the point of this article’s posting, the feature is only available for iOS mobile app users. The crossover to android and web features is in the works.
It gets even better knowing that your business’ location and contact info can be accessible to 44.5 million users in the US alone. And all at no cost to you or your business. Thanks, Pinterest.
